Prize-Winning Students 2014
Each year, the MA Publishing course offers a host of academic prizes for the best and brightest work throughout the year. Leah Tether, course leader and tutor introduces us to this year’s lucky recipients.
We have some pretty fantastic students here on the ARU MA Publishing – so fantastic they’ve been winning prizes a-plenty!
The designer of this very blog site, Victoria Love, has just won the inaugural Book Production Consultants Prize for Innovation for her work on this great platform.
Meanwhile alumnae Laurida Harrington-Poireau, Shelley Hale and Gladys Famoriyo have won the Cambridge University Press Prize for Best Dissertation, the James Clarke Prize for Best Contribution to the Course and the Lutterworth’s Prize for Best Overall Grade respectively! These prizes will be officially conferred at graduation in October 2014.
If that weren’t enough, Gladys and Victoria had double successes. Gladys’ final major project won the national major project prize awarded by the Association for Publishing Education, while Victoria submitted a winning entry for the best piece of student work in Publishing at the Department of English, Communication, Film and Media’s end-of-year student festival.
Congratulations to one and all!
